Nijaifi describes CoM’s decision over canceling Ration Card as Dangerous
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday, he said “The reformation justified by the government can not be against the interest of the affected citizens.”
“Fixing the defects of the distribution of the Ration Card items is better than canceling it where such decision needs a national deal to be concluded,” he stressed.
Earlier, the Iraqi Council of Ministers decided to cancel the Ration Card.
The Spokesperson of the government, Ali al-Dabbagh, told IraqiNews.com on Tuesday that “The CoM decided to cancel the distribution of the food materials of the Ration Card starting from March 1st, 2013.”
Dabbagh assured that “Each material of the Ration Card cost each citizen IQD 12, 000,” noting that “The resolution included distribution of IQD 15,000 for each citizen to replace the Ration Card items.”
