Nujaifi holds talks in Lebanon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi held talks today with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabeeh Bari and head of the Lebanese government Najeeb Miqati. In the two separate meetings, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations, particularly in the economic field, in addition to the variables in the Arab arena. In a statement by Nujaifi’s office today, it was reported that the sides reviewed bilateral parliamentary and governmental ties. The statement noted that the two sides discussed the current events in the Arab arena. The statement concluded that Speaker Nujaifi extended an official invitation to Mr. Bari to visit Iraq. In the meeting with the Mr. Miqati,”bilateral relations were discussed and the importance of exchanging views to solve the crises, particularly following recent events in the Arab area,” the statement concluded.
