Obama congratulates Talabani for Summit’s success
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani received congratulations from the US President and the US Administration for the success of the 23rd Arab held in Baghdad last week.
Presidential statement cited that “Talabani met the US Ambassador to Iraq James Jeffery in Baghdad on Monday evening,” noting that “Ambassador Jeffery conveyed congratulations of the US President Barack Obama and the US Administration for President Talabani for the success of the Arab Success which was the center of attention for the whole world.”
“Talabani assured that the success of the Arab Summit sets the suitable ground for the success of the expected National Meeting,” the statement added.
For his part, the US Ambassador Jeffery expressed his wishes for the success of the National meeting to settle all pending issues and renewed the US Support for the political and democratic process in Iraq.
