Obama nominates Beecraft as Washington’s Ambassador to Iraq
(IraqiNews.com) The US President Barak Obama suggested to “The US Congress to appoint Robert Beecroft, the charge d’affaires of the US embassy in Baghdad as the new Ambassador for the USA to Iraq.”
The new candidate Beecroft occupied earlier, the post of Deputy Chief of the US Mission in Iraq but currently he is the charge d’affaires of the US Embassy.
It is worth mentioning that in case the US Congress approved the appointment of Beecroft, he will succeed the US Ambassador James Jeffrey who spent two years in this post.
