Objection for not referring a law to NGOs

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The head of Al-Amal (Hope) Association Hana’ Adwar today objected to the Iraqi Cabinet sending the Law of Freedom of Expression and Peaceful Demonstration to the Parliament without first presenting it to any NGO bodies.  “The NGO bodies will resort to the parliament to discuss the matter on the Law of Opinion Freedom and Peaceful Demonstration, because we want this law. We wonder why it was not referred to us first before it was sent to the Parliament,” Adwar clarified to IraqiNews.com.  Minister of State and Government Spokesman Ali Al-Dabbagh said today that the Cabinet decided to approve this law, as reported by a statement  from his office.
