Official denies attacking Iraqi aircraft in Syria

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Transportation denied attacking an Iraqi aircraft by a mortar shell in Damascus International Airport in Syria on Thursday.

A statement by the MoT received by IraqiNews.com quoted the spokesperson of the Minstry, Karim al-Nouri, as saying “The flights of the Iraqi Airways to Syria were suspended due to the security situation,” denying “Attacking or destroying any Iraqi aircraft in Syria.”
