2 Officials underwent investigation, (195) law endorsed during current parliament term

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A source of the Parliament revealed that the Parliament has investigated with two officials of the Executive Authority since the beginning of the Parliament term till now.The source stated that ”The investigations that took place at the Parliament on charges of corruption and legal violations, were held against the former Chairman of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Faraj al-Haydari, and the former Mayor of Baghdad, Saber al-Isawi.”

”Three other officials were summoned to the investigation session and they did not attend the Parliament for investigation and they are The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, regarding the security file, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ali Adeeb, the Minister of Youth and Sport, Jasim Mohamed Jafar, on charges of corruption and administrative and legal violations, ” the source added, pointing out that ”The Minister of Electricity will be summoned for investigation due to his failure in energy file,”The current Parliamentary term will be ended on 14/June/2014 where only nine months left. \END\
