Othman denies holding initiative by Barzani to settle crisis in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance denied holding an initiative by the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to settle the gather the political blocs in Erbil to settle the crisis in Iraq.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “There is no call for the political blocs to gather in Erbil, but there will be meetings and talks among the sides that gathered in Erbil and Najaf after Barzani’s return from Russia in order to discuss the required means related to the situation in Iraq where they will declare they will decide whether Barzani hold the initiative or not.”

It is worth mentioning that Barzani called the political blocs to gather in Erbil to settle the crisis in Iraq.

Some sides from the KA, the Iraqiya Slate and the Sadr Trend, held two meetings in Erbil and Najaf in 2011 to withdraw the confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, but they failed to achieve the required support of the MPs to approve it in the parliament.
