Pakistan to open consulate in Karbala

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The Karbala Governor Amalaldin al-Hur said Monday that Pakistan will open a consulate in the holy city of Karbala next year. “The Pakistani ambassador to Iraq confirmed in a meeting with me that the consulate will be opened next year,” al-Hur told Iraqi News. “Currently, there is only one consulate in Karbala, the Iranian,” he said. Al-Hur did not mention when the meeting took place, but said that Pakistan will also open a polyclinic in the city. The holy city of Karbala lies 110 km southwest of Baghdad. MH (P) / SS 1
