Palestinian Premier calls international community to follow up conditions of Palestinian detainees

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister of Palestine, Salam Fayadh called the international community and the United Nations to appoint UN envoy to follow up the conditions of the Palestinian detainees in the Israeli prisons.
In his speech during the International Conference over supporting the Palestinian and Arab Detainees in the Israeli prisons that is being held in Baghdad, Fayadh said “Each Palestinian family suffers the detention of one of its members over the past years where there are thousands of the detainees including women and children embody the sufferings of the Palestinian people and stress, at the same time, the rejection of the Palestinian people to the Israeli occupation and call for the freedom.”
He urged the “international community and the UN to urgently support the Palestinian people against the suppression and oppression besides acknowledging the rights of the Palestinian people which are approved by the international agreements and the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights.”
The Palestinian Premier called to “form medical commissions that assume the treatment of the Palestinian detainees and prisoners in the Israeli prisoners as well as forming commission on Truth and appoint UN envoy to supervise the conditions of the detainees.”
He called for “urgent release for all the Palestinian detainees most notably women, children and patients.”
