Iraqi parliament votes to consider Sinjar as disaster area

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Thursday, Iraqi Council of Representatives voted during its 26th meeting to consider the district of Sinjar as a disaster area.
A parliamentary source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The House of Representatives voted during its 26th meeting to consider the district of Sinjar as a disaster area.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added, “The vote was unanimous.”
