PM to visit Moscow soon to discuss several files, including armament

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Sunday, that the latter will visit Moscow soon at the official invitation sent to him by Russian president Vladimir Putin to discuss bilateral relations, Russia’s support to Iraq in the field of armament and intelligence and enhancing the security and military capabilities in Iraq.
The spokesman for the Office Saad al-Hadithi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will visit Moscow in the near future at the invitation sent to him by Russian President Vladimir Putin,” noting that, “There are three main files to be discussed during the visit, the most important is the development of bilateral relations.”
Al-Hadithi added, “Abadi will also discuss Russia’s support for the Iraq in armament, intelligence and efforts to strengthen security and military capabilities,” pointing out that, “The dangers of terrorism and extremism that affect Iraq are present to some extent in Russia, therefore, this common challenge requires cooperation and coordination between the two countries.”
