Qaeda to buy lands in Babil – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A National Alliance MP disclosed today that al-Qaeda organization has been purchasing land north of Babel to enhance its presence in the area. MP Ali Shubbar told IraqiNews.com that al-Qaeda began purchasing land with large sums of money, intending to use the land for training centers and storage of arms. He pointed out that north Babel area has been penetrated by al-Qaeda due to the lack of government in these areas. Shubbar added that the financing of the organization is either done personally or through armed theft of banks and ordinary citizens, as well as external financing.
