Religious Authority stresses necessity of coherence among Iraqis, defeating foreign plots

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Religious Authority, Mohamed al-Yaqoubi, stressed the necessity of coherence among the Iraqis for defeating the foreign plots.

A statement by Yaqoubi’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Monday cited “Yaqoubi, while meeting a delegation of chieftains of Diyala, Kut and Baghdad provinces at his office in Najaf, expressed the intimacy of the citizens of Diyala when they deal with each other without discrimination among the different religions or sects and the foreign agendas cannot separate them,” stressing the necessity of “sustaining the coherence among the Iraqis at any circumstances and defeating all the plots.”

“Yaqoubi urged to show intimacy among all the provinces considering the citizens of Diyala as a symbol for Iraqi unity,” the statement added, pointing out “Yaqoubi stated that the citizens of Diyala province could defeat terrorism and make the future of Diyala better than before.”
