Sadr: Battle of withdrawing confidence from Maliki Has just started

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced that “The battle of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, has just started.

In response to question by one of his followers over what Maliki is saying the crisis of withdrawing the confidence is finished, Sadr said “It has just started.”

Concerning Maliki’s statement that he will implement his threats against the sides supported withdrawing the confidence especially the Sadr Trend, Sadr confirmed “He will not do this and if he does then what I have said about him will come true.”

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that the number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
