Sadr calls not to pressurize security elements to vote for certain figures
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called not to pressurize the security forces to vote for certain political figures.
Responding to a question by one of the security officials over informing the military and police elements by one of the relatives of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to vote for Maliki only where their existence is related to electing him, Sadr said “Greetings to the Iraqi security elements and I would like to thank you for your sacrifices.”
“I advise you to be for the Iraqi people rather than certain figures and to vote for the persons that you trust and not to be pressurized to vote for certain political figures,” he concluded.
