Sadr calls upon Parliament not to ratify deal

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Sadrist bloc’s Leader Muqtada al-Sadr on Monday called upon the Iraqi Parliament not to approve the security agreement with the U.S., describing the deal as “selling Iraq and Iraqis,” a statement of his office said. “The security agreement with the U.S. aims at selling Iraq and its people,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com. “I urge the parliament again to refuse to sign the agreement without hesitation,” he added.
