Sadr denies his support for nominating Sadrist candidate to replace Maliki

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, denied supporting the nomination of a Sadrist candidate to replace the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

In response to question by one of his followers over reports stating that he supports nominating Sadrist candidate to replace Maliki, he confirmed “I did not say that and every one report this is a liar especially in this stage.”

Earlier, some media outlets mentioned that Sadr supports nominating a Sadrist candidate to replace Maliki.
