Sadr describes Iraq, Iran as two spirits in one body
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, described Iraq and Iran as “two spirits in one body.”
In response to a question by one of his followers over his stance towards the call of the Iranian Vice-President, Mohamed Ridha Rahimi, for uniting Iraq and Iran, he said “Both Iraq and Iran are two spirits in one body like all other Islamic and Arab countries.”
“But this does not mean the fusion since Iraq is an independent Country that no one has the right to interfere in its decisions or affairs,” he concluded.
