Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, assured that the identity of Kirkuk province is neither Kurdish nor Arabic but Iraqi.

In response to a question raised by one of his followers over the identity of Kirkuk whether it is Kurdish, Arabic or Iraqi, he stated “Kirkuk is Iraqi.”

The political blocs tried to settle disputes over the disputed upon areas including Kirkuk according to the Article 140 of the constitution on the 31st of December 2007 but they did not.
