Sadr supports nominating Alwan for Dhi-Qar Governorate

Dhi-Qar (IraqiNews.com) The head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced his support for nominating MP, Aziz Kadhim Alwan, of Citizen bloc to assume the post of Dhi-Qar province on Tuesday.

The post of Dhi-Qar Governor was settled on last Monday to be granted for Citizen bloc.

In response to a question in this regard, Sadr answered “We wish Gad to serve Dhi-Qar province through this Governor.”

Dhi-Qar Provincial Council held its first session on Tuesday but it was postponed due to lack of quorum.
