Sadrist leader makes contacts to replace US trainers

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  The leader of the Sadrist Trend Muqtada al-Sadr was quoted as making contacts with Russia, the European Union, the Islamic Conference and the United Nations to find an alternative to U.S.trainers following American withdrawal from Iraq, according to a statement by his office. Political leaders agreed last week for an extension for the U.S.trainers, but without immunity, which was demanded by the United States.
