Sadrist MP calls Maliki to resign
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mohamed Ridha al-Khafaji of the Parliamentary Ahrar bloc called the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki to resign.
Khafaji stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The best solution to resolve the current crisis and end the demonstrations that are sweeping a number of Iraqi provinces is the resignation of the PM al-Maliki.”
We address the PM “If you believe in democracy then you have to meet the demands of the demonstrators with which those protests will be finalized and things return to normal.”
Earlier, the head of Sadr Tend, Muqtada al-Sadr, strongly attacked Maliki where he accused him of seeking to adopt dictatorship and marginalize the other partners, noting that “The Arab Spring is coming to Iraq.”
