Sadrist MP describes holding CoM sessions in provinces as "Play"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend, Mohamed Ridha al-Khafaji, described “Holding the sessions of the Council of Ministers as a play similare to that of the 100 days during which the government promised to provide the services and to conduct reformations.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “After 10.000 days of the government’s term, Iraqis still suffer from the lack of the services and the unemployment as well as from poverty.”

“Government should fulfill its promises to the Iraqi people by upgrading services in Baghdad and other services,” he concluded.

The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, thanked the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for holding the sessions of the Council of Ministers in the provinces.

In response to question by one of his followers over holding the sessions of the Council of Ministers in the provinces in coincidence with Erbil and Najaf meetings, Sadr said “I expect this step to be a response to what I call the pressures.”

“We must thank him for this step and call him to continue holding these sessions rather than holding them only when the elections approach,” he concluded.

The Council of Ministers, previously, held three sessions in Basra, Kirkuk, Nineveh and Dhi-Qar provinces to discuss the problems of these provinces.
