Sadrist MP describes Revenge for Martyrs security operation as "Late"
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Awad al-Awadi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend described the joint security operation Revenge for the Martyrs by the Defense Ministry and Baghdad Operations Command as “Late.”
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Revenge for the Martyrs security operation is late where the government had to perform some security operations before it, but it is better than nothing and we support the government is fighting the terrorist and wish to have a real cooperation between the citizens and the security forces to eliminate the terrorists.”
“The security forces are responsible for the security operation which stated today and it is a positive issue where there are some called from the people to achieve positive results from it especially in the borders of Iraq,” he concluded.
Earlier, the Defense Ministry and Baghdad Operations Command launched a security operation called Revenge for the Martyrs in different areas of Baghdad on the background of the escape of the prisoners form Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons in last June.
