Sadrist MP: No reforms achieved in Iraq after canceling withdrawing confidence from Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Awad al-Awadi, of al-Ahrar bloc within al-Sadr Trend stated that Iraq did not witness any reforms after canceling the project of withdrawing the confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and giving him a change to achieve the reforms.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The project of withdrawing the confidence was a reformative project and did not target anyone where it aimed to change the performance of the government.”

“This project was postponed to make the government achieve the reforms, but we did not witness any of them and the government did some procedures that affected the Iraqi people such as canceling the ration Card and defaming the alliances in addition to showing enmity to Kurdistan Region,” he added.

“All these issues can be reasons to change the current political situation,” he concluded.
