Sadrist official attributes setting flag of SFA to neutral stance of Sadr Trend to Syrian situation
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An official within the Sadr Trend attributed setting the flag of the Syrian Free Army on the stage of the demonstrations of the Oppressed People held in Wassit on Saturday to the neutral stance of the Sadr Trend from the Syrian situation.
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), the official said “The Sadr Trend has a neutral stance from the Syrian crisis and does not support either the opposition or the supporters of the Syrian regime and that’s why the current Syrian flag and the flag of the opposition were both on the stage.”
“The mechanism of setting the flag was done by a specialized committee that aimed at not creating any enemies to the Iraqi people in the region,” he concluded.
It is worth mentioning that the flag of the Syrian Free Army was set on the stage of the demonstrations held by the Sadr Trend in Wassit province on last Saturday for supporting the oppressed people.
The Syrian Free Army is the current opposition to the Syrian regime and conducting the clashes with the Syrian army in Syria.
