Sadrists demonstrate in Baghdad Wednesday afternoon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Sadr Trend led a demonstration calling for the freedom of the media outlets in Baghdad on Wednesday.

The reporter of IraqiNews.com stated “The demonstration launched from al-Mihsin mosque in Sadr city towards Firdous square of central Baghdad in response to the call of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, for supporting the freedom of expression.”

“The security forces were deployed heavily to protect the demonstrators who condemned limiting the freedom,” the reporter added.

“A number of tribal figures and journalists as well as political figures participated in the demonstration,” the reporter concluded.
