Shihayli denies accusing Waeli of corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Jawad al-Shihayli of the parliamentary Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend denied the reports over his accusation to the MP Shirwan al-Waeli of the State of Law Coalition about his involvement in the corruption suspicions accompanying Basra Sports City project.

Shihayli said that “The reports that talked about my accusation against Waeli is groundless and I did not state about this subject,” stressing that “Waeli is among those who fought the corruption.”

Earlier media reports published a statement for Shihayli in which he accused Waeli of disturbing investigating the Youth Minister and involving with the Minister and a businessman in the corruption suspicions of the Sports City.
