Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed Egypt’s full support to the efforts of the Iraqi army in the face of the ISIS organization.

(IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed Egypt’s full support to the efforts of the Iraqi army in the face of the ISIS organization, referring to his country’s keenness to support Iraq to restore its sovereignty over all its territory and to overcome the current security threats.

The Defense Ministry said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, Khaled al-Obeidi visited, after his arrival in Cairo, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in the presence of his Egyptian Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi and Iraq’s ambassador to Cairo, Alaa Youssef.”

The statement added, “Obeidi transferred the greetings of Iraqi President Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to Egypt,” expressing, “Egypt’s full support to the efforts of the Iraqi army to overcome the challenge of terrorism,” stressing “Egypt’s keenness to support Iraq and its army in order to restore its sovereignty over all its territory and to overcome the current security threats.”
