Sistani’s office denounces arresting foreign students of religious institution in Najaf

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah, Ali al-Sistani condemned arresting the foreign students of the religious institutions in Najaf.

A statement by Sistani’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The security forces arrested some of the Pakistani students in Najaf under the justification of violating the terms of the residential permits.”

“The Religious Authority calls for stopping the arrest operations and the investigations in addition to taking the suitable actions against the security officials who ordered to arrest the students,” the statement concluded.
