Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mansour al-Timimi, of the State of Law Coalition held the government the responsibly of the declined electric performance in Basra province.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “One of the reasons for the declined electric performance in Basra province is the bad performance of the former local governments in performing the electric projects.”
“The local government has files approves the corruption in the electric project in Basra where some companies had most of the electric projects,” he added, noting that “The Governor of Basra must submit those files to the Integrity Commissions and the corrupted companies must be replaced by qualified ones.”
He called “The Central government to hold its responsibility and settle the electric crisis in Basra because it is the main provider for the electricity and its citizens are no longer patient to listen to more promises.”
