We have a special relation with Kuwait, says Abadi

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed that most of the pending issues with Kuwait have been solved and that relations with it are special, warning about the danger of terrorist organizations in terms of security and intellectuality, and thanking Kuwait for deferring the compensation payment and for its supportive position to Iraq.

Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement received IraqiNews.com, “Today, Abadi discussed with the head of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries,” noting that, “During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the National Assembly, they discussed the political and security situation taking place in Iraq and the region and the threat posed by ISIS on the region as well as cooperation in various fields.”

Office added that, “Al-Abadi pointed out that most of the ending issues with its neighbor Kuwait have been solved and the relations are special. We seek to overlap interests between the two countries to serve their peoples.”
