Students studying abroad in debt to Iraq – VP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Saturday said from Doha that Iraqi students studying abroad are in debt to their country that they should repay, especially when considering that Iraq is about to commence a new stage, according to a release issued by his office. “You should remember that you are in debt to your country,” al-Hashemi said while receiving a group of Iraqi students studying in Qatar. “Your country is currently at the gate of a new stage of construction and rebuilding,” he added. “Politics would not succeed unless supported by science, culture, and awareness,” he noted. “You are the future leaders, and Iraq would not advance without science,” he asserted.
