Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President Jalal Talabani has sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, on winning a second term in the US Presidential elections.
In his message, President Talabani expressed “Iraq‘s keenness in further development and progress of the friendly relations with the United States in the next four years according to the Strategic Framework Agreement signed between the two countries.”
With only Florida’s 29 electoral votes still undecided, Obama won 303 electoral votes to Romney’s 206.
In his speech in Chicago after his re-election Tuesday night, Obama addressed Romney saying “We may have battled fiercely, but it’s only because we love this country deeply and we care so strongly about its future.”
