Talabani, Hakim discuss means of settling political crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with the President, Jalal Talabani, the means of settling the political crisis in Iraq.

Presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Hakim ensured Talabani’s health condition and discussed the political issues in Iraq in addition to the means of settling the political crisis in Iraq making use of Talabani’s affect on the political sides.”

“Hakim was accompanied by a large delegation representing all the constituents of the Iraqi people, comprising the head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, the Deputy of the Pope of the Catholic Church Shilmon Wardini, Sharif Ali bin al-Hussein, the Secretary General of the Imam Qader Holy Shrine, the head of the Iraqi Scholars Assembly Khalid al-Mula, the head of the National Congress of the Faili Kurds and some political and religious key figures,” the statement concluded.
