WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A tribal conference on the national reconciliation was held in Wassit Tuesday in the attendance of the adviser of the prime minister for tribal affairs, according to the information director in Wassit. “A tribal conference was held on Tuesday (May 12) attended by Dr. Aboud Essawi, the adviser to the prime minister for tribal affairs, and Wassit Governor Latief al-Tarfa and a number of sheikhs and clerics to discuss the national reconciliation issue launched by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki,” Majed al-Atabi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The tribal chiefs presented a document demanding the Iraqi tribes to cooperate with the security authorities as well as present all forms of support to the companies wishing to invest in the province.
