Turkish president to visit Iraq soon – advisor

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Turkish President Abdullah Gul will pay an official visit to the Iraqi capital Baghdad soon, the media advisor of Iraq’s prime minister said on Wednesday. “President Gull will visit Iraq soon in response to an official invitation from his Iraqi counterpart Jalal Talabani,” Yassin Majid told IraqiNews.com. “The visit will come within exchanging visits between Iraqi and Turkish leaders, mainly after the three visits paid by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and the visit paid by Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq, in addition to Talabani’s recent visit to Turkey,” he explained.
