U.S. embassy condemns attacks on media institutions

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The U.S. embassy in Baghdad condemned on Monday the recent attacks on media institutions and reporters in Iraq, urging the federal and the Kurdistan governments to investigate the incidents, according to an official statement. The embassy welcomes statements made by Iraqi officials regarding supporting press freedom, urging the Iraqi government to strengthen its efforts to protect media institutions and reporters.
