Urgent – .Iraqi Parliament votes on continuing investigating Jaafar in absentia

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Parliament voted on continuing investigating the Minister of Youth & Sports, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar, in absentia over corruption charges.

Parliamentary source told IraqiNews.com on Monday “The Parliament voted by majority on continuing investigating Jaafar in absentia due to his absence from the investigation session where the investigation will be conducted by the head of the parliamentary integrity committee, Baha al-Araji.”

Earlier, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, has decided to investigate the Minister of Youth and Sport, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar, in absentia due to his absentia from the investigation session.
