Urgent – .Maliki’s Party fails in winning seats in Najaf, Dhi Qar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The initial results of the local elections of Iraq showed that the ruling political party (Islamic Dawa Party) headed by the Premier Nouri al-Maliki included in the State of Law Coalition did not get any seat in Najaf and Dhi Qar provincial councils.

Informed source told IraqiNews.com “The initial results of the provincial elections showed that Maliki’s Party did not win any seat in these two provinces and that the votes went to the blocs allied with the Party within the SLC.”

“Dawa Party got only two seats out of 15 seats the SLC got in Basra,” the source added.
