Urgent – .Sadr Trend ministers’ suspension for Cabinet’s sessions ongoing

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Sadr Trend announced on Saturday continuing suspending participation in the Iraqi Council of Ministers.

The spokesperson of the Sadr Trend, Salah al-Ubaidi, said in a press conference held in Najaf “Sadr Trend’s ministers’ suspension for the Iraqi Cabinet’s session is ongoing.”

“The Iraqi Cabinet lacks transparency and impartiality,” he stressed.

Concerning their continuity with the Iraqi National Alliance, Ubaidi said “We are still there within the INA, but our talks with other political entities do not mean new alliances.”

Regarding postponing the local elections in some provinces, he said “We refuse this decision as many other political sides refuse it.”
