Urgent – Sihail’s resignation based on Sadr’s request, says informed source

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Informed source from the Sadr Trend revealed that the resignation of the First Deputy Speaker, Qusai al-Sihail from his post was based on the request of the Trend’s leader, Muqtada al-Sadr.

The official Iraqia Sat channel has reported this morning that the First Speaker of the parliament resigned his post.

The source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Sadr had summoned Sihail some days ago and discussed with him the delay of revealing the corruption files at the parliament.”

“Sadr called Sihail, during the meeting, to resign his post,” according to the source.

It is worth mentioning that Sadr had commissioned Sihail to follow up the corruption files.
