Vacuum from US withdrawal not to be utilized

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Al-Iraqiya’s spokeswoman warned some of the neighboring countries not to utilize the vacuum created by the withdrawal of the U.S.forces, pointing out the coming stage is full of challenges on both political and security levels. “At the time that we can welcome the U.S.withdrawal, we warn some countries against utilizing the vacuum in order to intervene in Iraqi internal affairs, irrespective of diplomatic norms and good neighborly relations, in the light of the absence of security and intelligence institutions,” MP Maysoon al-Damalouji said in a statement, a copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com. She regarded that the coming stage is full of challenges and dangers on both the political and security levels. The bloc shouldered the government with the responsibility for building up its military and security institutions, the statement added. RM (TS)/SR 44
