White bloc opposes withdrawing confidence from Maliki, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ahmed al-Uraibi, of the White bloc confirmed that his bloc opposes withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The White bloc is supporting the national meeting which the President, Jalal Talabani, called for,” describing it as “The best choice to end all the disputes and the pending issues among the political blocs.”

He ruled out that the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, is working topple the current government.

“Sadr Trend worked with the other political sides to solve the current crisis comprehensively rather than withdrawing confidence from the government,” he emphasized.

“The current crisis could be solved only through the dialogues among the political sides.” he concluded.
