White bloc welcomes Erbil meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc welcomed Erbil meeting and called to apply its final statement in reality.

The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to IraqiNews.com “There is no problem in holding the meeting in Erbil on last Saturday,” noting that “The meeting indicates positive atmosphere in the future.”

“Holding the meeting in Erbil is better than holding it abroad with foreign agenda,” he added.

“The absence of some sides from the meeting is not negative since it is for consultation only,” he stressed, assuring that “Holding meetings among the leaders of the political blocs is the basic way for eliminating the disputes.”

Earlier, a meeting was held in Erbil on last Saturday.

The meeting involved the President, Jalal Talabani, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, as well as the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to discuss the political crisis.
