White bloc welcomes Hakim meeting with Sadr in Najaf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc welcomed “The meeting held between The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr,” assuring that “This meeting is positive.”

The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The political process needs the cooperation of all sides by adopting the dialogues and avoiding media tensed statements which negatively affected Iraq.”

“Hakim’s meeting with Sadr will have positive impact on the political process in the next days,” he added, stressing that “Such meeting ensures the Iraqi leaders’ adherence to dialogue and national unity.”

Earlier, Hakim met Sadr at his residence in Najaf province to discuss the political updates on last Sunday.
