Lawmaker calls to help returnees

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The head of the foreign affairs committee in the Iraqi Parliament, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, called to provide required support for displaced people returning to Iraq after the tangible security improvement, according to a release issued by Hamoudi’s office on Wednesday. “Sheikh Hamoudi on Tuesday evening received in his office the commander of the Fardh al-Qanoon (Law Imposing) plan, Staff Lieutenant General Abod Qanbar, and official Spokesperson Qassim Atta,” said the release that was received by IraqiNews.com. “Hamoudi urged a bigger role on the part of the government to care for displaced people who have returned homes by providing a secure atmosphere for them,” it added. “The security situation in Iraq has become reassuring and is constantly improving,” the release quoted Sheikh Hamoudi as saying.
