500 tons of packed tea arrive at southern ports

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Trade on Tuesday said that more than 500 tons of packed tea have arrived at southern ports as part of a massive trade deal. “The State Company for Foodstuff Trade imported the packed tea to avoid low-quality alternatives,” according to a ministerial statement received by IraqiNews.com, quoting the director of the media department in the Ministry of Trade as saying The company signed contracts with four Indian companies to import 6,400 tons of packed tea, of which 500 tons have reached Iraq’s southern ports, the statement noted. Meanwhile, Iraqi ports received two ships carrying sugar cargos to ensure an adequate supply to all storehouses countrywide. SS (P)/SR 1
