21 cameras in Diala to monitor arms, explosives

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Defense (MOD) provided Diala with 21 cameras to monitor roadside bombs and explosives in the province, a member of Diala provincial council’s security committee said on Wednesday. “Responding to a request made by Diala provincial council, the MOD bought 21 cameras with advanced abilities to monitor arms, explosives and roadside bombs, at a total amount of 3.6 billion Iraqi dinars,” Amir Rifaat told IraqiNews.com. “The cameras arrived in Diala days ago, and today some of them were installed in Baaquba city, while the rest were distributed throughout the province’s suburbs and districts to provide a continuous image to the command center,” he said.
